IAN opens shop in Tel Aviv to invest in Israeli startups
The Indian Angel Network, one of the largest angel investor groups with over 450 institutional and individual members across the globe, has launched its operation in Israel with the aim of investing in areas like healthcare, agri-tech, water, cyber security and cleantech. IAN has also partnered with entrepreneur Anat Bernstein- Reich, who is the chairperson of Israel-India Chamber of Commerce and also the President of the Israel-India Friendship Association (IIFA) to bring together the entrepreneurial ecosystems of the two nations. IAN will look to invest in Israeli startups, and eventually bring these technologies to India. Meanwhile, Israeli investors who join the IAN network will look to invest in Indian startups. IAN also looks to leverage the expertise of local angels and investors to help mentor Israeli startups.
