Dehradun gets first state-run PMKVY affiliate centre
Uttarakhand has become the first state to get a state-run training centre in the country. The training facility will be affiliated with the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY). The announcement was made on Nov 30.
The centre was inaugurated by chief minister Trivendra Singh Rawat at Raipur in Dehradun. Rawat distributed toolkits to the trainees at the event.
Some 60 unemployed youth will be given training of field technicians-computing. And 120 would get trained in the field of multi-cuisine cook and food beverage services in the centre.
The centre aims is to train over 1 lakh youth in the state and make them more employable.
