DDA to offer additional 21,000 flats by July 2018
The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has announced the launch of a fresh housing scheme. The new scheme will offer 21,000 flats in different categories. The scheme will be launched around July 2018.
DDA’s principal commissioner (housing), J P Agarwal, made the announcement after the draw of lots for the 2017 housing scheme. The draw was held at DDA’s headquarters at INA, Vikas Sadan.
The announcement was made after the flats in the 2017 housing scheme were exhausted. Agarwal said that unsuccessful applicants shall not be disappointed as the DDA will offer new and better flats under the fresh scheme next year. The prices for the new scheme have not been fixed yet.
He said that DDA is constructing 81,000 flats in different categories — lower-income group (LIG), middle-income group (MIG), higher-income group (HIG) and EWS — and 21, 000 of them will be ready next year.
Delivery in March 2018
The flats located in Narela, Dwarka, Rohini, Vasant Kunj and Jasola are likely to be delivered by March 2018. Once the formalities and allotment of the present scheme are completed, the next scheme will be rolled out.
DDA’s Housing for All
In 2017 offer, the LIG Flats of size 52.63 sqm are offered at Rs 14.9 to Rs 28.5 lakh rupees.
- MIG Flats measuring 64.2 sqm to 109 sqm are priced between 30.2 lakh to 70 lakh rupees.
- While HIG flats measuring 77.57 sqm to 142 sqm are ranged between 41.6 lakh to 1.4 crore rupees.
- EHS and Janta flats are priced between Rs 11.76 lah to Rs 77.57 lakh and Rs 6.8 lakh to Rs 15.15 lakh rupees respectively.
The system first allots units to specially abled persons. They were given ground floor flats after which the remaining units are allotted to other categories based on choices of localities of applicants and reserved categories.
