Sovereign Gold Bond rate fixed at Rs 2,961 per gram, subscription calendar released
The Price of new series of Sovereign Gold Bonds (SGBs) has been fixed at Rs 2,961 per gram. The new series will be opening on Monday, Nov 13.
After consultation with the Reserve Bank of India, the government has also decided to offer a discount of Rs 50 per gram to those who will apply online and make payments online.
The issue price of Rs 2,961/gram is applicable for the subscription period of Nov 13-15, 2017. The settlement would be made on Nov 20, 2017.
The SGB subscription calendar is spread over 12 weeks. The subscription opens from Monday to Wednesday every week between Oct 9 and Dec 27.
The settlement would be made on the first day of the following week. The bonds are demonetized in units of one gram gold and can be subscribed in one gram or the multiples of one gram.
